Company Origins

SOS Staffing Services, Inc. began providing quality temporary associates in 1973. The business grew quickly during its early years, in both Utah and Colorado, and established a reputation for doing its utmost to satisfy customers and create opportunities for its associates.

Expansion

By 1975 SOS had expanded to multiple locations and became one of the largest staffing services in the western United States. In 1981 SOS opened its first specialty division, supplying customers with engineers and drafting personnel. SOS expanded into Colorado in 1984 and has since entered markets throughout the West. SOS is a subsidiary of Hire Calling Holding Company, and with its affiliates operates more than 100 offices in 15 states.

Leading the Industry

SOS now serves a diverse range of customers from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. We employ more than 70,000 temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire associates for more than 8,000 clients every year. Our goal is still just as simple as it was 30 years ago-to unite talent and skills with opportunities. We are involved in our local communities and have provided valuable industry leadership, including three former presidents and recipients of the National Industry Leader Award of the American Staffing Association (ASA).
